CFE Releases New Cohen's Ghost CD

Eerie yet melodic sounds permeate Cohen's Ghost: From Shadow, a new CD released by Charlie Foxtrot Entertainment. Described by Tom Kraemer (GodsOfMusic) as "a fine example of what vocal world music should sound like," this album follows Cohen's Ghost: Songs of Lingering Shades.

Cohen, a veteran of the 1st Gulf War, is a musician and artist at CFE. Recently he wrapped up scoring the music for a number of animated video trailers for IDW Publishing including: Transformers: All Hail Megatron, Joe Hill's Locke & Key, and Tom Waltz' and Casey Malone's Children of the Grave, a graphic novel co-published by CFE.

Cohen's subtle, haunted sound is an outgrowth of long, lonely nights spent as a child, growing up along the shores of Virginia and the Carolinas. The son of a fisherman's son, Cohen thrived on a diet of fish and stories told by local fishermen. "It's all about telling those stories of loss and longing," he recently said, "and about times and places long past, and the emotions those stories evoke. As a child I was haunted by the stories told to me by the old fishermen; stories of murder and loss. I try to put those feelings into my music."
